One of the world’s most popular team sports, Beach Volleyball is accessible to all ages, levels and abilities. Usually played in 2 teams of 2 (but it can be more), the main objective of beach volleyball is to stop the ball hitting the sand on your team’s side of the net.

This needs to be done in a maximum of 3 touches before the ball needs to be sent back over to the opposing team’s side. Points are scored by the ball hitting the sand on the opposing side. Matches are made up of 3 sets. A set is won by the first team to reach 21 points with a 2 point advantage and the match is one once a team has won 2 sets.

An exciting and fast paced sport, beach volleyball is widely enjoyed by both men and women both formally and for fun and leisure.
